Created in 2002, the Merlin Contest rewards each year a French-speaking fantasy novel and short story. The prize is chosen by the public in the whole publications of the previous year. The Merlin Prize appeals to an illustrator to prepare the “reward”: a painting for the best novel’s winner and a drawing for the best short story’s one.
This year, the winners were two she-winners:
Murielle H. Essling for Le Temps de l’accomplissement and Nathalie Dau for her marvellous short story, Le Violon de la Fée.

The Présence d’Esprits' crew asked for my contribution this year. I was very happy to prepare thoses awards but very busy so that I had no time to take pictures of the works before to send it.
Happily, Nathalie Dau (who has posted a very kind note on my guest book !) sent me a picture of her drawing.
