05/21/2008 - The organisators of the festival Imaginales (Epinal, Vosges, France), have been the very first to trust me as a beginner in illustration. Thanks to them, I made my very first steps in that field. I am fortunate enough to be amongst the guest this year as well. Please follow the link to get all the details about the festival.
By the way, here is a new picture, which took me a while to end up with it.
It links together two of my biggest interests, which are apparently far from each other. I mean faery in one hand and the story of West America in another hand. Let me introduce you "Breakin' the snail" or the story of the Jess, the Intrepid...
After the storm... (03/11/2008) - Two months without any word on this site! Shame on me! However, that was for a good reason : I was quite busy in finishing an illustrated book, which in now in the hands of my editor. No need to mention the titanic work that it represents, especially at the end... I am looking for the approval of my editor to speak at greater length about the project and perhaps published online some small visuals about it. I will keep you informed as much as I am allowed to!
This is also the occasion to thank you all for your great patience and your indulgence, concerning my too-rare news and my bad communication. To tell the truth, it is really difficult to work at the same time on illustrated books (two titles to be released on this year), to provide the covers for the editors more and more numerous to trust me(soon, a bibliography part will be open on the site), and to leave you some paintings for you to explore on my site. But we continue to preview some updates of the website, in order to improve communication!
In the meanwhile, here is a "recent enough" publication of mine for you : "The Wolf of Marans", a commission for an illustration book cover. As you can see in the details, illustration can be a lot of fun when you are allowed to put some joke in the picture, that nobody but you and your friends would notice... do not hesitate to leave a comment!
Beside, some emblematic pictures of mine are currently hung in the municipal media library of Antibes. All information in the datebook.
